Abilene Church of Christ in Statesville, NC, is a Christ-centered, Bible-believing congregation striving to follow the New Testament pattern in all things. We are not part of a denomination but simply Christians, united by a common faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to worship and serve according to God's Word.

 

Our worship is reverent and rooted in Scripture. We sing praises to God using only our voices—without instrumental music—just as the early church did (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16). Each Lord’s Day, we partake of the Lord’s Supper, offer prayers, study the Bible, and proclaim the gospel of Christ.

Abilene is shepherded by a group of faithful elders: Leon Cash, Lynn Baity, and Gary Dull. Together with our deacons and congregation, they help guide the church according to the teachings of Christ.
